Sonos Port FAQs
Q. What will my Sonos Port connect to?
A. Anything from a CD Player, turntable or another piece of HiFi equipment can be connected to the Sonos Port as a gateway into your Sonos system. Any piece of equipment with a line-out that can be connected to the RCA connection on the Port can be used.
Q. Can the Sonos Port be used for a mixing/ DJ set-up?
A. Whilst this is theoretically possible, we don't recommend using the Port and other wireless Sonos speakers as part of a mixing, DJ or PA system as there will be a slight lip-sync delay between the live signal and speaker audio.
Q. What is a 12v trigger?
A. Essentially, this will allow you to 'trigger' the connected piece of equipment to wake up and turn on providing this connected piece of equipment is 12v trigger compatible. Check the specs of your connected Amp or receiver for this information.
Q. Will I still need to use a pre-amp?
A. If you're connecting a turntable to the Port, you will still need to use a pre-amp as the Port does not have a phono stage inbuilt. Some turntables have the pre-amp built in, so check this before purchasing a separate unit.

We've extended our normal returns for the festive season. Any gifts bought between 27th October 2023 and 22nd January 2024 can be returned up until 31st January 2024.
How does the returns policy work?
If a gift is unwanted, customers must contact Smart Home Sounds by the 31st January 2023 via phone, email or live chat. Our team will assist you in the returns process.
Items must be fully unopened and sealed. Return postage will be at the cost of the customer.
