Monitor Audio’s mid-level range in the Creator Series, the C2, is a range of small, medium and large in-ceiling speakers which offer a significant step up over Tier 1 models. Designed for enhanced performance, the C2 range offers excellent dispersion, immersive audio for movies and music and additional features that allow for more freedom in speaker placement. The C2 M-CP offers a 7” driver, a step up on the 6.5” in the previous generation, while retaining the same 8.5” cut out dimension.

Controlled Performance Models

Monitor Audio Controlled Performance models are fitted with a fully-sealed back box that provides an ideal air load for the drivers. This design optimises mid-range and bass performance while maintaining sonic consistency as well as superior sound isolation between rooms and floors.

The Creator Series Controlled Performance models have been upgraded from previous CP models.

Creator Series Tier 2 Range

Monitor Audio’s Creator Series has been designed to simplify the range with clearly defined performance levels. There are now three tiers of in-ceiling speakers in a good, better, best tiered system. The Tier 2 range speakers boast a two-way arrangement with RST II mid-bass drivers based on those found in the award-winning Silver 7G range plus C-CAM tweeters with Uniform Dispersion (UD) Waveguide II. Together, this combination competently recreates the complex dynamics of music and movies whilst offering excellent dispersion characteristics and delivering clear, life-like high-fidelity sound. Additional features such as boundary correction and high-frequency cut/boost enable more flexibility in speaker placement.

C2S - Small in-ceiling speaker with 5” driver and 171mm cut out

C2M - Medium in-ceiling speaker with 7” driver and 212mm cut out

C2L - Large in-ceiling speaker with 9” driver and 248mm cut out

Creator Series Tier 2 Technology Explained

The Tier 2 speakers feature RST II technology, which significantly increases cone rigidity to greatly reduce distortion and allows for thinner, lighter and more responsive C-CAM cones to be used which provides greater speed and accuracy. RST II delivers excellent directivity in all conditions.

All Creator Series in-ceiling tweeters use a Uniform Dispersion (UD) Waveguide. This offers reduced distortion meaning the speakers are more comfortable to listen to, go louder and have far greater sound dispersion.

A newly designed hexagonal grille offers both a unique aesthetic but also enhances performance, optimised to offer the least amount of interference.

C2M - Simple Installation

Monitor Audio in-ceiling speakers have never been simpler to install. With a new Quik-link terminal, speed of installation has been revolutionised. With a magnetic, lockable connection, make cable connections pre-installation then snap everything into place once installed. The new Tri-Grip II offers a reliable, strong and secure fitment whilst a new dog-leg mechanism is considerably stronger and more reliable than the previous generation.

Tier 3 offers high-performance and high-fidelity for the best listening experience. Offering an exceptionally loud soundstage, impressive depth, detail and bass and additional features for even more freedom in speaker placement. Tier 3 speakers are only available in Medium and Large sizes.
