Monitor Audio’s entry-level range in the Creator Series, the C1, is a range of small, medium and large in-ceiling speakers which offer a solid, reliable performance at an affordable price point. The C1 M maximises performance and power by upgrading to a 7" driver while retaining the same form factor and 212mm cut out dimension. Previous models for the same cut out size only offered a 6.5" driver.

Creator Series Tier 1 Range

Monitor Audio’s Creator Series has been designed to simplify their range with clearly defined performance levels. There are now three tiers of in-ceiling speakers in a good, better, best tiered system. The Tier 1 range speakers boast a two-way arrangement with a new C-CAM mid-bass driver and 1” C-CAM tweeter with Uniform Dispersion Waveguide I. This single design provides improved clarity, wider dispersion and clear, lifelike high-fidelity sound.

C1 S - Small in-ceiling speaker with 5” driver and 171mm cut out

C1 M - Medium in-ceiling speaker with 7” driver and 212mm cut out

C1 L - Large in-ceiling speaker with 9” driver and 248mm cut out

Tier 1 Technology Explained

The Tier 1 speakers feature C-CAM cones which are a big upgrade from the previous generation’s polypropylene cones, offering a significant audible performance increase. These strong, lightweight and extremely rigid C-CAM cones have a higher resistance to bending stress which results in a cleaner, clearer and more precise lifelike sound presentation.

All Creator Series in-ceiling tweeters use a Uniform Dispersion (UD) Waveguide. This offers reduced distortion meaning the speakers are more comfortable to listen to, go louder and have far greater sound dispersion.

A newly designed hexagonal grille offers both a unique aesthetic but also enhances performance, optimised to offer the least amount of interference. 

C1M - Simple Installation

Monitor Audio in-ceiling speakers have never been simpler to install. With a new Quik-link terminal, speed of installation has been revolutionised. With a magnetic, lockable connection, make cable connections pre-installation then snap everything into place once installed. The new Tri-Grip II offers a reliable, strong and secure fitment whilst a new dog-leg mechanism is considerably stronger and more reliable than the previous generation.

Monitor Audio Creator Series upgrades

The Creator Series boasts 3 Tiers, each building upon the previous with new features, technologies and increased acoustic performance.

Tier 2

Where enhanced performance is required, Tier 2 models boast the engineering qualities of the previous tier but offer an improved acoustic performance, stepping up to an RST II mid-bass driver and a C-CAM tweeter with UD Waveguide II. Tier 2 models also offer additional features to allow for more freedom in placement such as boundary compensation, high-frequency cut/boost and a dual-stereo T2X model.

Tier 3

Tier 3 offers the same engineering qualities of Tier 2 but steps up again in audio performance with models boasting a three-way speaker arrangement and stepping up to RST III bass drivers and IDC II coaxial mid/tweeter drivers with UD Waveguide II. Tier 3 speakers deliver an exceptionally loud soundstage, impressive depth, detail and bass alongside boundary correction, mid/high-frequency cut/boost and more. Tier 3 speakers are only available in Medium and Large sizes.
