We love the new update on the Sonos app so much, we had to write a little article about it!
One of the great things about Sonos is that they always listen to your feedback and then take action in the form of a free software update- and when we get an update from Sonos, we’re used to knowing it’s going to be worthwhile. In Sonos’ latest update 8.3, we cover what’s been improved below.
Simpler Navigation - One of the most demanded amendments was to keep the 5-tab navigation bar permanent at the bottom of the screen, so you could go straight to the Settings for example, from the Now Playing screen. This actually makes a lot of difference and reduces the amount of time between selecting music from different sources or changing settings quickly.
Dark Now Playing Screen - The old white Now Playing screen made it look clean and fresh, but the only downside was that at night, this was a little uncomfortable and resulted in needing to decrease the screen’s brightness. We love the new black screen now and looks even clearer due to a better contrast of colours.
Clearer Room Control - Now it’s even easier to see which rooms are playing what music and for larger homes with more Sonos speakers, the scrolling menu can fit more rooms in the screen, so less scrolling required!
TruePlay is now available on the latest iOS devices such as iPhone 8, 8 plus and X

How do I activate my 6-year Sonos warranty?
The good news is you don't need to follow any additional steps to activate your extended 6-year warranty. No paperwork is required as this process is done digitally.
Your warranty starts from the date your speaker is first activated
We will be able to obtain all your details from the serial number of your registered product.
All batteries will be covered by the standard manufactures warranty

Our Extended Christmas Returns
We've extended our normal returns for the festive season. Any gifts bought between 27th October 2023 and 22nd January 2024 can be returned up until 31st January 2024.
How does the returns policy work?
If a gift is unwanted, customers must contact Smart Home Sounds by the 31st January 2023 via phone, email or live chat. Our team will assist you in the returns process.
Items must be fully unopened and sealed. Return postage will be at the cost of the customer.
If the unwanted item is opened, this will revert to our regular 30 days returns policy.
Faulty items will follow our standard returns procedure.
