The Flagship Star: LG M5 OLED
The OLED evo M5 is LG’s crown jewel in 2025. Building on LG's wireless innovation , the M5 takes things to the next level with 144Hz wireless audio and video transmission—all without compromising on latency or quality. Imagine crystal-clear visuals and audio, entirely untethered. It’s set to be a real game-changer for modern home setups.
Under the hood, the M5 now runs on LG’s Alpha 11 Gen 2 processor. While the refresh rate is capped at 144Hz—a modest step down from the G5’s 165Hz spec—it still offers a smooth and seamless viewing experience that’s more than enough for gamers and movie lovers alike.
What really sets the M5 apart this year is LG’s decision to move away from MLA panel technology. Instead, it features an advanced four-stack panel design, which promises a significant boost in brightness without sacrificing picture quality.
In terms of size options, from what we've learnt at the show, M5 lineup will include 97", 83", 77", and 65" models. We're unsure whether or not additional sizes could be introduced later, but for now, we’ll have to wait for further updates.

LG G4 vs. LG G5: What’s New?
Built to succeed the much-loved LG G4, the G5 was undoubtedly stealing the show at CES with its transformative updates. It's set to be available in a range of impressive sizes: 97", 83", 77", 65", 55", and (drumroll please) 48". Let's dive into everything you need to know.
• New Size Alert: For the first time ever, the G series now comes in a 48” model, making it a versatile choice for smaller spaces.
• Gaming Upgrades: The G5 is set to boast 4K 165Hz VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) on all models except the 97” and 48”, setting a new standard for gaming TVs.
• Processor Power: Both the G5 and M5 are powered by the latest Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 2, delivering cutting-edge AI-enhanced visuals and processing.
• Brightness Boost: Featuring Brightness Booster Ultimate and new panel technology, the G5 ditches the need for MLA (Micro Lens Array). The result? Exceptional brightness levels—reportedly 40% brighter than last year’s G4, with LG claiming the G5 is 3 times brighter than the B5.
And yes, LG is stirring up the rumour mill with their new OLED panel. While they haven’t confirmed specifics yet, the side-by-side comparison of the G5 and G4 at CES clearly showcased a leap in both peak brightness and overall visual clarity. Stay tuned—this is one we’ll be testing in detail as soon as we can!
Spotlight on the C Series: LG C5
While the G series often grabs the headlines, the LG C5 is shaping up to be a standout in the mid-range OLED market, coming in a range of sizes including 97", 83", 77", 65", 55", 48", and 42" models.
• Enhanced Audio: The C5 is set to feature 11.2.2 channel virtual surround sound, promising an immersive home cinema experience.
• Processing Upgrade: Powered by LG’s A9 Gen 8 processor, the C5 is no slouch in performance.
• Soundbar Match: LG is also launching a new soundbar designed specifically for the C series, ensuring a seamless aesthetic and audio experience.
From what we’ve seen at CES, the C5 strikes a perfect balance of performance and value—ideal for households looking to upgrade without splurging on flagship models.
The Versatile B-Series: LG B5
Fans of LG's more affordable OLED option will be glad to know that the LG B4 is being upgraded for 2025.
While LG has kept much of the B5 series under wraps, we do know a few key details that offer insight into its potential. The B5 will feature a 120Hz WOLED panel, ensuring smooth motion handling for a wide range of content. Like their new QNED series, the B5 is powered by the Alpha 8 Gen 2 processor, a capable chip designed to deliver consistent performance across LG’s mid-range offerings.
In a move consistent with the rest of LG’s 2025 lineup, the B5 will not include an ATSC 3.0 tuner for NextGen TV. This may disappoint some enthusiasts but aligns with the industry’s gradual shift in priorities.
When it comes to size options, LG has announced an extensive lineup for the B5: 97", 83", 77", 65", 55", and 48". Whether you’re seeking a large screen for cinematic experiences or a compact option for smaller spaces, the B5’s range caters to diverse needs.
What About The Competition?
Interestingly, LG’s 2025 lineup enters a market buzzing with innovation. For instance, Panasonic has unveiled their Z95B RGB tandem panel, setting a new benchmark for OLED technology. While LG hasn’t officially announced a similar breakthrough, our early impressions of the brightness and clarity of the G5 and M5 suggest they’re not far behind.
