Hisense 2025 TVs: What’s New?

We saw some jaw-dropping TV innovations at CES 2025, and while not all of Hisense's TVs were officially announced, some truly impressive technology was on display.

One model that stole the spotlight was Hisense’s world-first RGB Mini-LED TV, the 116” UX TriChroma LED TV. This isn’t just another big screen; it’s a monumental leap in television technology, redefining colour, brightness, and performance.

Let’s explore what makes Hisense’s 116UX TriChroma RGB Mini LED TV so special and highlight some of the other exciting TVs showcased by the brand this year! 👇

Hisense 116UX RGB Mini-LED TV: The Lowdown

At the heart of Hisense’s innovation this year is its RGB Mini LED technology, an evolution of their TriChroma tech found in their laser TVs. Instead of traditional white backlights, this new panel uses red, green, and blue mini LED chips to illuminate the screen. Why is this so significant?

  • Exceptional Colour Accuracy: Covering an impressive 97% of the BT.2020 colour space, this TV should deliver richer, more lifelike colours than ever before.
  • Enhanced Brightness and Contrast: RGB Mini LED tech enables peak brightness levels of up to 10,000 nits—a level rarely seen in consumer TVs.

The 116UX is set to boast thousands of dimming zones and tens of thousands of LEDs to help ensure it delivers ultra-deep blacks that can rival OLED technology but without the halo effect (blooming) you sometimes see on lesser TVs.

In simpler terms, this new tech means you should be able to enjoy a more immersive, realistic, and visually impressive picture—whether you’re watching movies, gaming, or just enjoying your favourite series.

Other Need To Knows:

Despite its massive 116-inch screen size, the 116UX is surprisingly slim, at less than 40mm thick. It’s designed to be wall-mounted or used with a large stand, fitting seamlessly into luxury home cinemas. As a brand Hisense are no stranger to dominating the large-screen TV market, having captured over 63% of the 100”+ segment in 2024. So, clearly, Hisense knows what its audience is after.

The 116UX also includes a 6.2.2 surround sound system for immersive audio. Combined with Google TV, it delivers a complete entertainment package right out of the box.

Hisense is also touting the eco-friendly credentials of RGB Mini LED, claiming it’s 20% more energy-efficient than QD-OLED technology which could be another big plus moving forward for us consumers.

What does that mean for the price? Well, as expected cutting-edge technology often comes with a hefty price tag, and the 116UX looks like it will be no exception.

While exact pricing hasn’t been confirmed, last year’s 110-inch model retailed at around £20,000, so it’s safe to say we should be prepared for a similar range for this year’s flagship.

For lovers of all things home cinema, the 116UX offers an exciting peek into the future of Mini LED technology, with unparalleled brightness and colour performance. It might still be too early to call it a worthwhile investment, but the technology is definitely promising.

Of course, there’s plenty more testing to be done before we can give our final verdict but we’re eager to get hands-on with the 116UX so we can find out if it really lives up to the hype.

Alongside the 116UX, Hisense also revealed the first "consumer-ready" 136" MicroLED TV, the 136MX MicroLED which supposedly boasts a peak brightness of over 10,000 nits and up to 95% of the BT.2020 colour space.

If you've followed us for a while now, you'll know we've been buzzing about the potential of MicroLED breaking into the mainstream—and although it's still VERY expensive, it's exciting to think about how we're getting closer to tech that could deliver OLED-like performance with even better brightness and longevity.

Seeing it up close at CES 2025 was impressive and it's only made us more eager to see how it evolves. The picture quality was stunning, but it does leave us wondering: can Hisense make MicroLED accessible to everyday consumers, or will it stay as a high-end luxury? Either way, we can’t wait to see how this technology progresses in the years ahead.
