AI has been one of the biggest buzzwords in the tech industry for a while now and Samsung is making it a key piece of their 2025 TV strategy with its latest innovation: Vision AI

Built to enhance picture quality, sound performance, and overall user experience with a suite of advanced features, Samsung's 2025 Neo QLED, OLED, QLED, and The Frame models will all utilise the new Vision AI platform. But what exactly is it?

Well, according to what we’ve heard at the show, their TVs aren’t just about entertainment anymore—they want them to be interactive, personalised, and play a bigger role in our lives. (Trust me, it’s not as scary as it sounds!)

Samsung's groundbreaking AI platform will not only improve the basics like picture quality, sound performance, and so on, but it also promises to transform your viewing experience with innovative features like personalised recommendations, intuitive language personalisation, and even help identify food that’s on screen and bring the recipes straight to your room! Pretty exciting, right?

2. Samsung’s Neo QLED TVs Get Even Better

Neo QLED has been a staple part of Samsung's TV lineup for a while now, and in 2025 they're doubling down on the technology with some very exciting innovations, including a new flagship 8K model, the QN990F, and a cinema-size 115-inch 4K Neo QLED model. Here’s a quick breakdown of what we know so far:

Samsung QN990F (Neo QLED 8K)

Despite 8K resolution not hitting the mainstream yet, Samsung is still pushing it with the QN990F being their headline Neo QLED attraction. Available in 65, 75, 85, and 98-inch sizes, this model represents Samsung's most impressive TV to date boasting their NQ8 AI Gen3 processor.

Like all of Samsung’s Neo QLED TVs, it will also now incorporate the brand’s Glare-Free technology, which caused a stir when it was introduced with its S95D QD-OLED model in 2024.

Most notably, the Q990F will also feature a new Wireless One Connect box that boasts a wireless range of up to 10 meters, even with obstacles, thanks to Omni-Directional Technology and Wi-Fi 7. This removes the need for the transparent cable used currently and could be a real game-changer and something we see being hugely valuable for the more design-conscious of you out there.

Samsung QN990F (Neo QLED 8K)

Samsung also unveiled the QN900F which sits below the flagship. This model utilises their older NQ8 AI Gen 2 processor and misses out on the Wireless One Connect Box. It’s available in 65, 75, and 85-inch sizes and it features a sleek new metal frame design and incorporates key features like the Glare-free technology.

Samsung QN90F (Neo QLED 4K)

Another standout is the QN90F, Samsung's premium 4K Neo QLED. This enhanced model boasts glare-free technology and is available in various sizes, from 43 to a massive 115 inches. It uses Samsung’s NQ4 AI Gen3 processor and offers a 165Hz refresh rate for PC gaming, just like the new S95F OLED TV.

Samsung's 2025 lineup will also include a QN80F series that will be available in a range of sizes from 50 to 100 inches. Plus, for those looking for a more budget-friendly entry into the mini-LED world, the QN70F series offers a fantastic starting point, available in 55, 65, 75, and 85-inch screen sizes.

3. Samsung 2025 OLED TVs: Updated & Improved

As expected, Samsung’s OLED TVs will also be getting an upgrade in 2025, with 3 new models being released: the flagship S95F, S90F, and S85F, all of which feature AI upgrades.

Given the nature of CES, we haven’t been able to get properly hands-on yet, but based on what we've learned here at the show, this is what we know so far...

Samsung S95F (OLED)

The successor to the award-winning S95D is the Samsung S95F, which will be available in 55-, 65-, 77-, and 83-inch screen sizes. It will use Samsung’s NQ4 AI Gen 3 processor and boasts a QD-OLED panel with OLED Glare Free 2.0 technology. It features an Infinity One 'floating screen' design, claims a 30% increase in peak brightness over the S95D, and now supports 165Hz refresh rates for PC gaming.

Samsung S90F (OLED)

The S90F represents the midrange OLED option but uses the same flagship NQ4 AI Gen 3 processor as the S95F, and it will be available in 42-, 48-, 55-, 65-, 77-, and 83-inch screen sizes. According to reports, larger screen sizes (55 inches and above) will use Samsung's QD-OLED technology, while the smaller 42- and 48-inch models will feature standard WOLED panels.

Samsung S85F (OLED)

Finally, the S85F, available in 55-, 65-, 77-, and 83-inch screen sizes, will be the most affordable option in Samsung's OLED range. It features the NQ4 AI Gen 2 processor and 2.0-channel 20W built-in speakers with OTS Lite

Of course, the big question will be the price and when we can get our hands on them. Samsung hasn't spilt the beans on that just yet, but hopefully, we'll hear more soon!

4. Samsung Announces 'The Frame Pro'

One of our personal favourite bits of news from the event is that Samsung's range of Artwork TVs is also expanding this year with the Samsung The Frame Pro being the latest addition to the lineup.

This powerful new model boasts an array of enhanced features, making it perfect for those who love the styling of The Frame but don’t want to compromise on picture quality.

The Frame Pro will offer an impressive list of specifications, including a step up to Neo QLED technology with a matte finish for reduced reflections and a (totally) Wireless One Connect Box with WiFi 7 support so you can say goodbye to that pesky transparent wire – it's officially a thing of the past!

The Frame Pro also features an increased refresh rate of 144Hz and a suite of AI-powered features for enhanced performance. We caught a glimpse of it on the show floor and we’ve been really impressed. We can't wait to get our hands on one for a proper review!

For those wondering, the standard Samsung 'The Frame' will still be available. The new Frame Pro model simply expands our options, giving us even more choice. Let’s just hope it doesn’t come in too expensive!

5. Samsung Unveils Two New Soundbars: HW-Q990F & HW-QS700F

Samsung will also be expanding their soundbar lineup in 2025 with two new models: the flagship HW-Q990F and the stylish HW-QS700F.

Samsung HW-Q990F

Samsung's flagship soundbar is also getting a serious upgrade. The new Q990F, still packing that impressive 11.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos power, now boasts an even more impactful low-end thanks to a pair of upgraded Y25 subwoofers

We didn’t get a chance to listen in perfect test conditions so we can’t share our full thoughts but according to Samsung, these new subs should be able to offer better performance despite being half the size

Given how impressed we were with the Samsung HW-Q990D, we can’t wait to see how this new model stacks up when it arrives in our showroom. We'll be sure to share our findings as soon as we do!

Samsung HW-QS700F

New for 2025, Samsung have also announced the launch of their new HW-QS700F soundbar which has been designed to combine the sound quality of Samsung’s Q-Series with the slim form factor of their S-Series range.

Similarly to the Devialet Dione, this soundbar is adaptable for both wall mounting and tabletop use and it automatically optimises sound based on its placement by using the built-in gyro sensor

With Q-Symphony support for up to 3 devices, including compatible Samsung TVs and Samsung’s Music Frame speakers as rear speakers, the QS700F promises an immersive surround sound experience in a stylish package that we’re very intrigued by and can't wait to test soon.

Our Early Verdict

From their groundbreaking Vision AI platform to the stunning new Neo QLED and OLED models, it's clear Samsung are pushing the boundaries of what's possible in home entertainment again in 2025.

Based on our initial first impressions, there's no doubt Samsung are ready to once again fight it out with the likes of Sony and LG for the top spot in the TV market. Plus, their latest range of soundbars look equally impressive too. However, first impressions are just that. We can we can't wait to get our hands on these TVs and soundbars for a full review and see how they perform in the real world. Stay tuned for our in-depth coverage coming very soon!
